Ready for spring

No fat(ter) lip today! The vaseline worked. It must have made them too slippery to chew on. I didn't chew the inside of my cheeks either. Yay, hope this will last! That was really good advice.

We had some snow yesterday and a note from the newspaper carrier, "Please shovel between the street and the sidewalk." At first I was indignant, there was a path shoveled not ten feet away, why couldn't he just take that? Until I went out to look and the snow plow has covered it with three feet of hard, thick snow! I found my ice chopper in the basement and brought it up to do battle, if I have time before work. I'm ready for spring, how about you?

I just read your last post about the lip biting. I haven't done that unless they're very dry from the weather, but I have bitten the insides of my cheeks. The habit seemed to just go away for me, but that was a long while ago.

I'm so happy you applied for that job. Good luck with it ... I'll bet you get a call. I just hope you still have time to do some blogging.

And yes, I'm tired of winter and am looking forward to some blossoms outside!

Eh, I can't piss and moan too much about wanting spring...it was 48º here this morning but is going to get to like 78º by noon.

Great news about not biting your lips and cheeks though...what a relief!

I am ready for warmer weather, but not too warm! It's been 50-60 as a high most of the past week and that's about perfect. I'm looking forward to the grass turning green, but I think we'll need some rain for that to happen.

My postman must hate me. We never shoveled. It's true that we only get snow over 6 inches about once a year, but as long as I could back my car down the driveway then I didn't bother.

This winter though we weren't there and our mail was all forwarded, and the postman was smart enough to not deliver any.

I can't wait to get the house on the market and sold!

Well, it's been nice the last couple of days so I can't complain but I'm sure it will turn cold one more time. Especially now that all of my fruit trees are starting to bud out. As a friend of mine said the other day "I'm ready to gripe that I'm hot!"

chewing the inside of cheeks sounds painful

Oh, man...shoveling snowplowed snow is just a pain in the neck. It's always hard and crusty and has to be chipped. Our mailbox is at the curb and at times the snow is so deep that only the mailbox itself is visible, no pole.

Good luck chipping....
