Just finished typing three visitation reports (which took a couple of hours) and my fingers and lips are blue. Yes, the furnace is OUT again, since yesterday. Do suppose that guy was right? I sure hope not! We also got our first snow yesterday. Bad timing for that.

You poor thing, both financially and otherwise. We had to put in a new furnace last year. It was a case of trying to patch the old and hoping for the best or going with a sure thing. But, even if you have money, spending a fortune on a furnace is not fun.

I had something similar, though less expensive, last year when our hot water heater went out. We tried having things in it replaced to avoid the $1000 cost, only to end up having to have it replaced. Still, we went with Sears instead of with the plumber so it didn't cost more than it would have had he replaced it initially. I just hope that warranty makes up for it.

God...don't you just HATE it when life does this? I went to go to work this morning and the car wouldn't start. I turned the key and it...just...clicked. The same damn thing that happened last month and my car guy said that I needed a new battery...
And yeah...it is never cheap is it?

UuGH! I HATE being cold.I can take the heat(sometimes)...but being cold as h*** is a bummer.How have you been feeling,btw?Are you still coughing like crazy? I think it started like on the 7th,and you moreless had a relapse...or just never fully got well.Hoping the furnace gets fixxed soon,cuz THAT sure doesn't help a bad cough.

I wish I could send some of our heat your way. I think summer has started a month early again. You need a pair of fingerless gloves for typing and a nice cup of steaming hot cocoa to wrap the ungloved parts round to keep warm.
